Zoom into the 2023 school year with Adviser Academy
Taking on the yearbook for even the most seasoned advisers can be overwhelming, let alone in your first few years. Our 2022 Virtual Adviser Academy from June 27-29 is the perfect experience to receive the training and help to jumpstart your 2023 yearbook.
“We want new advisers to fall in love with yearbook, and I am so excited to be able to be a part of that,” said Walsworth Sales Rep, Sabrina Schmitz, CJE. “So, no need to fear, new advisers, we have your back, and you will feel totally prepared and pumped to tackle this school year!”
We will have award-winning instructors teaching sessions designed for both new and veteran advisers, covering everything from brainstorming, class organization and theme. There will also be a day of tech training in InDesign, Photoshop and Yearbook 360 – Online Design to have you prepared for the year. If you are unable to attend a session live, the recordings will be available just hours after they air to anyone who registered and will remain available through the 2023 school year. These recordings will also be beneficial to share with your incoming staff throughout the beginning of the school year.
“The best way to get excited about next year is to be surrounded by amazing and dedicated professionals, all with the same mission,” said Elizabeth Luna, yearbook adviser at Athens Drive Magnet High School. “You’re guaranteed to leave with that extra level of inspiration and insurance that you and your team can take on anything next year!”
In addition to these courses, we will hold specialized breakout sessions to help with ideas and answer questions. A new feature this year will be a refresher day for attendees later in the summer to provide extra insight as well as Q&A sessions and general topics.
The cost for our Virtual Adviser Academy is $120 per person, and we can provide a Professional Development letter you can share to assist your school in covering the expense. The full agenda and list of speakers is available to determine which sessions may be most helpful.
“What I love most about Walsworth’s Adviser Academy is connecting with first-year advisers and giving them tools to have a successful year,” said Walsworth Special Consultant Jim Jordan. “I advised yearbook for 35 years, and I want them to love the process as much as I have.”
We can’t wait to see you all there! Remember to register before June 3 to receive your exclusive gift delivered to your door in time for the conference.
