Hello

I'm Mary Slater, CJE

Chicago Area Yearbook Representative

My Philosophy

As your local yearbook representative, I am committed to providing you with excellent service and support as you create your school’s yearbook. Having been both a teacher and yearbook adviser, I truly understand what your yearbook adviser is faced with day after day, year after year. My advisers lean on me to teach, train, motivate and encourage their staffs and to help manage sales, budgets and marketing. I specialize in training and coaching advisers and staffs through the entire process, providing multiple workshops – both outside school and in the classroom.

Every day is a new challenge, but the key to our success is planning and working together to create a beautiful book that captures the spirit and energy of the year.

After more than 20 years in this role, my goal continues to be making your job easier! I love what I do and I’m excited to help you.

What People Are Saying About Mary...

Mary Slater has been an incredible rep in all ways during my time as faculty yearbook adviser at Romeoville High School. Mary has been an amazing help from Day One and has provided resources and discussions that have been very project-oriented… When COVID-19 happened, she stepped into full gear and assisted me with many of the barriers associated with completing a yearbook under circumstances when there was little content for a good amount of the school year… I would highly recommend Mary to those who are looking for a knowledgeable and results-oriented yearbook representative who can help take your yearbook project to new heights.

Mary has provided me with direct customer support for the 10 years I have been advising two different schools’ yearbooks. Due to her superior customer service, but also the overall Walsworth experience with both software as well as support from the production facility in Missouri, I cannot speak more highly about the success we have experienced with Walsworth.
