Hello

I'm Brooke Smith, CJE

Western North Carolina/Southwest Virginia Yearbook Representative

My Story

With more than 25 years of yearbook experience, I have lived through computer crashes and all-night work sessions before a deadline. I know what it takes to produce a quality yearbook to be cherished for years to come.

I specialize in everything you need – from design, photography, writing, marketing and technology to having fun and teaching your staff to work as a team. I have you covered with my combined experience in education, advising and journalism. Plus, my work with award-winning yearbooks means we are on the leading edge of trends.

I have been an editor, adviser and a rep in the yearbook world, so I have been in your shoes. I have a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, specializing in Graphic Design with a minor in Creative Writing, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Pictures and words are my specialty, and I can help you use them to create a beautiful book to cherish for years to come.

What People Are Saying About Brooke...

Brooke is hands down the best yearbook representative that I have worked with in the last 15 years. She schedules appointments to come work with me and my staff on a monthly basis, more when needed. Brooke helps me teach my students yearbook concepts, writing, photography and marketing. If I have any questions, Brooke is always available to help me get the answers.

– Lynn Bare, adviser, Southern Alamance High School, Graham, North Carolina

Our sales rep, Brooke, gives the best support my school has had. She is knowledgeable about all aspects of creating a yearbook with Walsworth. She visits on a regular basis, and she helps my students and me with everything we need.

– Sonja Lankford, adviser, West Stokes High School, King, North Carolina

Brooke is reliable, flexible with her time and is always a great source of information. Having worked with other yearbook representatives in the past, I can say that none of them compare to Brooke. Brooke takes the time to make sure that we are on track, rearranges her own schedule so that she can help our yearbook classes, and makes sure that I understand all the aspects of the technical and financial sides of creating a yearbook. Above all, I value her constructive feedback about how to ‘level up’ our yearbook.
