The Yearbooks Blog loves talking to advisers who are doing things to keep the yearbook relevant in their school. Recently we got a chance to chat with Melissa Falkowski from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla.
Falkowski has been the yearbook adviser at MSD for seven years, and is currently working on her master’s degree in journalism through a program from Kent State University.
Kansas City, Mo. (March 19, 2012) – Two 2011 yearbooks printed by Walsworth Publishing were among the seven college yearbooks announced as Gold Crown winners by the CSPA on Sunday.
Four yearbooks printed by Walsworth Publishing Company received Gold Crowns from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association today, with 12 books published by Walsworth earning Silver Crowns.

Kansas City, Mo. (Jan. 10, 2012) – Kim Green, MJE, adviser at Columbus North High School in Columbus, Ind., has been named the 2011 Yearbook Adviser of the Year by the Journalism Education Association.
James Ducat, the yearbook adviser at Walsworth customer school Beaumont High School in Beaumont, Calif., was recently honored as one of 10 regional finalists by the California League of High Schools in its 2011 High School Educator of the Year contest.
After being selected for the honor, Ducat was featured in a nice article by the local newspaper, The Press-Enterprise.
