President’s Collection

Creation of the 2018 Hilsborean was a long, personal journey for the editors and staff, with planning starting over a calendar year before final delivery. After several iterations of a theme phrase, “They’re Gonna Know” stuck because it represented the voice of Hillsborough students and the power it carried. The school colors, red and black, are the dominant colors used throughout the book, especially on the four-color matte lamination cover, which is so red it almost seemed to drip with red ink. The book’s chronological coverage keyed in on all the impactful events of the year, including the rivalry football game that was featured on local TV’s game of the week and the clean-up after Hurricane Irma passed through the area.
